Welcome to futurefirefighters.com. My name is Erick, and I started this site with the intent of providing support and information to men and women like me; who want to eventually be employed as firefighters. Firefighting is the only profession I know of where every veteran I’ve met still tells me it’s the greatest job in the world.

From the size of the fire science and EMS classes I’ve taken, it was obvious to me that this a very popular and competitive career to undertake. The long lines to turn in applications at different department made that all the more clear. So, after doing lots of google searches and web surfing, I found that the web was lacking a free, community based website for fellow future firefighters to find information and support on this popular career. I certainly hope the site will grow and will my visitors’ careers in the fire service.
