Basic Wildland Academy

A friend of mine I met in EMT class, Eisho, recently returned from a 67 hour Basic Wildland Academy in Southern California. I thought I’d share the pics and video he brought back. From the looks of things, it seemed really tough, but probably fun once it was all over. He said it was very physically challenging, and some other people in the class were throwing-up and one even had to go to the hospital! Although completing the class doesn’t guarantee you any job or position, it does look better on your application when you apply to Cal Fire for seasonal work.
